A Time-Honored American Tradition
Long before “upcycling” was trendy or “antique pickers” had their own TV shows, flea markets were a staple of American commerce. Originally inspired by European open-air bazaars and markets, flea markets in the U.S. began gaining popularity in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These markets were often grassroots gatherings of neighbors, farmers, and artisans who came together to sell secondhand goods, handcrafted wares, tools, trinkets, and surplus stock.
Today, flea markets remain one of the most nostalgic and satisfying ways to shop — where history meets handmade, and every booth has a story to tell.

2025 Wilderness Flea Market Dates
Held in the gym parking area of our expansive 600-acre resort, each market is open from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Arrive early for the best finds and stay late to enjoy all the resort has to offer!
