RECREATIONAL WATER SPORTS
There is nothing more relaxing than a day on the lake. Regardless of your experience level, explore Cool Spring Lake at your own pace by renting a kayak or try stand-up paddle boarding. Life vests are required to be worn at all times regardless of your experience with swimming.
Meet us at the beach or visit the Gymnasium for more rental info. All boat rentals are subject to weather conditions. No one 14 years of age or younger may operate a rental boat unless their parent or guardian is with them in the boat or in an accompanied boat at ALL times. Persons between the ages of 15 and 17 years may operate a rental boat signed for by their parent or guardian.

Beach Rentals are available from Saturday, May 25 till Labor Day
Daily: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Last boats go out 1 hour before close
September:
Daily 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Generally, the rentals are run from the Beach Shack.
See Recreation for Shack specific daily operating hours as some days may vary. All other times operating from the Gym. Last boat goes out 1 hour before close. Subject to availability.

November:
Weekdays: Operated from the gym (shack closed) — 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Weekends: Staffed in the shack — 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Please note: Boat rentals are weather-dependent. If temperatures are below 60°F, boats will not go out.
December to March:
Closed for the season.
April, Early May & October:

KAYAK, CORCL® & PADDLEBOARD RENTAL RATES:
*We take cash only at the rental shack. Credit card transactions may be made from the Gym which is open 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. daily.
- Aqua-Cycle™ $15/half hr. – Can seat two people. Maximum capacity is 450 lbs.
- Corcl® Boats $5/hr. - Can seat two people. Maximum capacity is 225 lbs. Minimum age of use on own is 7. Ages 7-14 MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian in another vessel at all times.
- Stand-Up Paddleboards $15/hr. - One person per board. Maximum capacity is 275 lbs.
- Single Kayaks $15/hr. - One person per board. Maximum capacity is 300 lbs.
- Tandem Kayaks $20/hr. - Two person kayak. Maximum capacity is 500 lbs.

Every family should try our pedal power paddle boats! This is one of our most memorable lake activities. Rent a pedal boat and explore the Cool Springs Lake. We can guarantee lots of laughter and family fun along the way.
Life vests are available, but don’t forget your hats and sunblock.

Bring your fishing poles and tackle box! Both lakes are stocked with many kinds of fish including largemouth bass, chain pickerel, channel catfish, crappie, bluegills, and carp. Wilderness Presidential Resort has two lakes, for twice the fishing challenge. Cool Spring Lake (lower lake) and Hazel Grove Lake (upper lake). Fishing is permitted from the shore, on rented Jon boats, or on personally owned boats (electric motors or oars only) with a fishing license. Get your fishing license online.
